Mané Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Altino Lameirinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jens-Erik Stephansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Undertakers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Erik Stephansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Altino Lameirinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Jens-Erik Stephansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogelio Jordy kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Undertakers FC booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Erik Stephansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Jens-Erik Stephansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Undertakers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The Goiás Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Undertakers FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Altino Lameirinhas was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Undertakers FC's Mané Quirino threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Altino Lameirinhas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mané Quirino made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jens-Erik Stephansson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Stephansson in the 57th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerry Classon might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mané Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerry Classon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute Altino Lameirinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osmar de Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osmar de Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Cabral in the 76th minute of play forced Undertakers FC's goalkeeper Ace Mace to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Altino Lameirinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Undertakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cabral came free, but Ace Mace reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Undertakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osmar de Moraes came free, but Ace Mace reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
