Ivo Amaral came out of the goal and Demetrius Cho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Miromir Poniewaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivo Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivo Amaral should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Polkoski came free, but Ivo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júnior Salles hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Salles in the 14th minute of play forced WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Charlos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugeniusz Charlos having to make a save. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Charlos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Demetrius Cho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivo Amaral. In the 43rd minute, Miromir Poniewaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacek Polkoski to strike the kick off in the second half. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. Ivo Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zbigniew Kosiorek went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. Jacek Polkoski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivo Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacek Polkoski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 62nd minute. 1-10 became the score in the 70th minute when Jacek Polkoski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jacek Polkoski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ivo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Amaral was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Miromir Poniewaz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Miromir Poniewaz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-11. 82 minutes into the match, WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guilherme Cabral came free, but Eugeniusz Charlos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Miromir Poniewaz notched a goal, 1-14, to the right of Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ziemowit Tomiczek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ivo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
