An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Paskal in the 4th minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Enrique Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Donzel in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eloy Vela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Enrique Garaona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Guillen's late challenge caught a Salmuera CP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Guillen helped the player get up and apologised. Teodosio Guillen hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Orixe. Teodosio Guillen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Eloy Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Garaona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fidel Mouricio went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute Eusebio Paskal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Garaona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Orixe in the 28th minute of play. Eloy Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Guillen in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Club Atletico Los Andes getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Teodosio Guillen hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Salmuera CP's Paulino Orixe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Garaona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Guaberto Daunte kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Teodosio Guillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Salmuera CP were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Paulino Orixe made the kick off in the second half. Enrique Garaona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Paskal, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Salmuera CP's Eusebio Paskal suffered a concussion after 55 minutes and had to leave the field. 55 minutes into the game, Teodosio Urre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Los Andes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salmuera CP the free kick. 60 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Donzel came free, but Eloy Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Paulino Orixe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Garaona was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Samuel Gorbea got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Gilberto Munio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eloy Vela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eloy Vela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermegildo Donzel in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Vela saved Salmuera CP from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Adolfo Tabby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Donzel came free, but Eloy Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, German Etxeberri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Garaona. Club Atletico Los Andes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that German Etxeberri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The Salmuera CP players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
