After 9 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Tabby. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Adolfo Tabby got a free kick in the 12th minute. Edmundo Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Orixe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Paulino Orixe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Orixe, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Coritiba Blazers FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Telmo Favoretto hit a great ball. If Paulino Orixe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Trevisan in the 36th minute of play. Paulino Orixe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Meirelles having to interfere. With a little luck, Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela got control of the ball when Elano Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Jerônimo Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerônimo Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Coritiba Blazers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Orixe got free with Edmundo Meirelles in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulino Orixe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Meirelles having to interfere.
