Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) After some careless play in the AFC United defense, Mario Haag kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabien Barthez. The AFC United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabien Barthez should have stopped the shot. Daniel Plaaten hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the game, Kurt Post was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lanzenkirchen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC United the free kick. Castel Mulas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Barten having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Lanzenkirchen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Post to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Haag in the 16th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Archibaldo Ahumada kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. AFC United's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Haag in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Lanzenkirchen's Luis Barten got control of the ball when Castel Mulas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabien Barthez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Roth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Honorato Zubillaga got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Klaus Roth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabien Barthez skillfully saved the ball. Luis Barten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lalo Buenaga in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Lanzenkirchen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Dreher to maneuver through the defense. If Lalo Buenaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Klaus Roth made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Plaaten kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Castel Mulas's late challenge caught a Lanzenkirchen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Castel Mulas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute Kurt Post shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Post recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Barten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lalo Buenaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Barten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archibaldo Ahumada in the 63rd minute of the match. Luis Barten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lalo Buenaga in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Hector-Luis Conllas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Barten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Archibaldo Ahumada charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Archibaldo Ahumada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Archibaldo Ahumada got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of AFC United booed when Lanzenkirchen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Haag didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Castel Mulas in the 75th minute of play forced Lanzenkirchen's goalkeeper Luis Barten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lalo Buenaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Hector-Luis Conllas put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luis Barten. Honorato Zubillaga was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Luis Barten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lalo Buenaga in the 85th minute of play. Lanzenkirchen's Luis Barten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lalo Buenaga in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Klaus Roth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanzenkirchen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaus Roth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klaus Roth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fabien Barthez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
