Tobias Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huib van der Gun in the 7th minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Domenik de Vos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NFC Eagles 22's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenik de Vos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, André Forsberg made a precise shot to the right of Robert-Jan Hermensen. NFC Eagles 22's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 15th minute, Huib van der Gun made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Sandberg. REAL SUOMI CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 20 minutes into the match, REAL SUOMI CF's goal looked a bit too open when Huib van der Gun came free, but Tobias Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni Rademaker might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Sandberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Rademaker ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Huib van der Gun managed to get in a good position for a shot. NFC Eagles 22's supporters rose to their feet, but Huib van der Gun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Huib van der Gun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Sandberg. REAL SUOMI CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huib van der Gun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in REAL SUOMI CF's zone, Domenik de Vos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Sandberg came out of the goal and Domenik de Vos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Huib van der Gun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to REAL SUOMI CF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jan Öberg hit a great ball. When Huib van der Gun came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the NFC Eagles 22 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huib van der Gun couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for NFC Eagles 22! The score was 2-4 after a penalty in the 49th minute, where REAL SUOMI CF:s Aleksi Lindström tricked NFC Eagles 22:s Robert-Jan Hermensen with a difficult ball by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
After having played for 60 minutes, Huib van der Gun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dick Bryngelsson's late challenge caught a NFC Eagles 22's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dick Bryngelsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 minutes, Huib van der Gun made it 2-6 with a short kick to the right side. REAL SUOMI CF's Tobias Sandberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. REAL SUOMI CF's Tobias Sandberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save REAL SUOMI CF from getting a goal against them. Giovanni Rademaker took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Sandberg. Tobias Sandberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-8. Tobias Sandberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Huib van der Gun went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-9 was the resulting score.
