In the 12thth minute of the game Beto Trigo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ghost Hunters's Åke Gustafsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Edvaldo Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Relyn Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvaldo Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ian Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Sven-Ove Thedin kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Beto Trigo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Åke Gustafsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Fausto Valladares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Relyn Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Umberto Mangueira during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Umberto Mangueira got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes in the game, Sven-Ove Thedin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Juan Vieira having to interfere. Juan Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven Bäckman in the 31st minute. The supporters of Ghost Hunters booed when Relyn Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adam Svanér hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ghost Hunters getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sven Bäckman hit a great ball. Åke Gustafsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Amaral in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beto Trigo made a kick off. Fausto Valladares's late challenge caught a Ghost Hunters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Relyn Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Valladares to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Relyn Futebol Clube's Róbson Loyola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Åke Gustafsson. That made the score 0-4 after 63 minutes of play. Beto Trigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Gustafsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Åke Gustafsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto Trigo in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Umberto Mangueira got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Conrado Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Edvaldo Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Conrado Azevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Åke Gustafsson to make any attempt to save it. Ghost Hunters's Åke Gustafsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Ghost Hunters from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Teixeira in the 96th minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Åke Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Relyn Futebol Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
