After having played for 21 minutes, Godofredo Senen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acereros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Senen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Öllsjö FC's Knut Uggstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Elodio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Öllsjö FC booed when Acereros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Espiridion didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Acereros FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriel Näver fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sverker Spets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Senen in the 30th minute of the match. Manuel Bordat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sverker Spets read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Gabriel Näver scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Elodio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sixten Säv struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Raimundo Elodio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Öllsjö FC. 47 minutes into the match, Raimundo Fagondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sverker Spets. Öllsjö FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Fagondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Näver to make the kick off. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Acereros FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
