The supporters of Carpathians booed when Montevideo City Torque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Almarza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Gotti hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A collision led to Carpathians getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Big Blond hit a great ball. If Bizi Saludes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montevideo City Torque's Manoel Loarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Gherase in the 27th minute of play. Manoel Loarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Gotti in the 29th minute of play. Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betadur Medel in the 31st minute of play. Manoel Loarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Gotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Carpathians booed when Montevideo City Torque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías Pagani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Montevideo City Torque defense, Bruno Gotti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manoel Loarte. The Montevideo City Torque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manoel Loarte should have stopped the shot. In the 50th minute of the match Carpathians got a corner. Montevideo City Torque's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristi Goiceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristi Goiceanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manoel Loarte quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half Carpathians were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pau Covillas was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Poves during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Montevideo City Torque got a freekick which was hit by Santos Poves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Panaitoiu in the 58th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Manoel Loarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Gotti did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Manoel Loarte 59 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Gabriel Almarza got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Manoel Loarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Gotti in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Gherase in the 64th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Manoel Loarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manoel Loarte was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Samuel Iztal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuel Iztal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Samuel Iztal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Stelian Panaitoiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manoel Loarte, 0-4. Montevideo City Torque's Manoel Loarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo City Torque from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute Stelian Panaitoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Loarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montevideo City Torque's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Stelian Panaitoiu scored to the left of an out of position Manoel Loarte, making the score, 0-5. Manoel Loarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Iztal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Samuel Iztal took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Manoel Loarte to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Gherase in the 90th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Manoel Loarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo City Torque's zone, Stelian Panaitoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Loarte came out of the goal and Stelian Panaitoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute, Pau Covillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manoel Loarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Gherase in the 98th minute of play. The Montevideo City Torque fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carpathians were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
