The Club Vertigo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikulás Benediktsson should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Tomé Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikulás Benediktsson was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 20th minute FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA were awarded a corner. José de Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. Anton Stolnicu hit a great ball. In the 38th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Nicolau to maneuver through the defense. Sabin Corcoveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ronaldão Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldão Souza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurelian Mănescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 45 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomé Baptista to strike the kick off in the second half. Remus Greavu's late challenge caught a FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
