In the 12th minute, FC Dezassete's Alcides Valadares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tommy Bland. Tommy Bland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Kip Connelly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Creekers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dezassete the free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rudy Trotter to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Creekers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for FC Dezassete. Vivaldo Caneira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tommy Bland. 6-0. After some careless play in the Creekers defense, Alcides Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Bland. The Creekers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Bland should have stopped the shot. After 65 minutes of play, FC Dezassete's Alcides Valadares made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Bland was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcides Valadares in the 68th minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Tommy Bland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Bland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Valadares in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Alcides Valadares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Bland. Creekers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alcides Valadares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Gervásio Mascarenhas got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tiago Dantas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kip Connelly. FC Dezassete's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
