An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Loureiro in the 7th minute of play forced Chaves do 8 FC's goalkeeper Armando Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisão Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Prata in the 10th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes, Chaves do 8 FC's Vito Guerra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisão Seco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chaves do 8 FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Jean de Moraes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Luisão Seco made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ricardinho Lara sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chaves do 8 FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! João Francisco Mendes struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Armando Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexilhão F. C.. In the 33rd minute, Willian Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Chaves do 8 FC's Juninho Lara got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 39 played minutes Chaves do 8 FC got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Lara. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rubens Prata made the kick off in the second half. Luisão Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião de Senna in the 53rd minute of the match. Kauan de Brito took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisão Seco. Luisão Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 58 minutes, Ricardinho Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaves do 8 FC and the Mexilhão F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. C. got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Botelho. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Chaves do 8 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Terra. In the 94th minute Celsinho de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
