An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Frutos in the 12th minute of play forced ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s goalkeeper Tião Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Haroldo Frutos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Tião Simões. Tião Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tião Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Frutos in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Peixoto in the 19th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Zeledon Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Saul Unax hit a great ball. The Maravilla fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Maravilla's Haroldo Frutos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 31 played minutes ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Alagoano. In the 34th minute Haroldo Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raí Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ademar Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Danel having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Frutos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serginho Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Danel having to make a save. Angel Vasco hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Raí Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tião Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Frutos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aílton Alagoano made in the 87th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Almir Rosa immediately put the ball in play. In the 89th minute, Ademar Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Danel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
