GFK Osogovo's Pande Georgijevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Haug in the 7th minute of play. Patrik Andres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Pande Georgijevski made a huge save. Poli Timisoara's Thomas Schmuck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Migjen Mena in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Migjen Mena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thomas Schmuck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pande Georgijevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Niclas Ebus in the 15th minute of play. Thomas Knoppertz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pande Georgijevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Thomas Knoppertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pande Georgijevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Cezary Sawicki notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Poli Timisoara's Thomas Schmuck. Thomas Schmuck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boris Hristov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Migjen Mena scored 0-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Schmuck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thomas Schmuck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Sawicki in the 32nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominic Haug in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pande Georgijevski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Cezary Sawicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Schmuck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Sawicki in the 38th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Thomas Schmuck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominic Haug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pande Georgijevski having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Paskal Partenijev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Schmuck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Knoppertz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cezary Sawicki during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, GFK Osogovo's Cezary Sawicki got a free kick in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, GFK Osogovo's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Knoppertz came free, but Pande Georgijevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Schmuck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Sawicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Migjen Mena took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Thomas Schmuck to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Knoppertz in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pande Georgijevski saved GFK Osogovo from getting behind. Jens-Uwe Lack struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Pande Georgijevski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. Patrik Andres took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pande Georgijevski. Pande Georgijevski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Dominic Haug hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Knoppertz in the 77th minute of play forced GFK Osogovo's goalkeeper Pande Georgijevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrik Andres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Pande Georgijevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Cezary Sawicki notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Poli Timisoara's Thomas Schmuck. Thomas Schmuck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thomas Schmuck came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by GFK Osogovo's Cezary Sawicki. But to his dismay, Cezary Sawicki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Uwe Lack in the 91st minute of play forced GFK Osogovo's goalkeeper Pande Georgijevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Niclas Ebus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Dominic Haug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Poli Timisoara manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing GFK Osogovo to win.
