Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gabriel Toli kicked off to start the match. After 8 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Dante Quintan. In the 14th match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Toli to maneuver through the defense. Benito Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Bojan Daev came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Red Bull Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bojan Daev couldn't finish the play. Bojan Daev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Richie was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Ile Manojlovski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ile Manojlovski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 35th minute Ile Manojlovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Richie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Skender Partenijev came free, but Apolo Richie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Lirim Atanasovski with Bojan Daev as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Reynaldo Sabin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Manevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Atanas Živkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Richie came out of the goal and Atanas Živkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Red Bull Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Toli came free, but Robert Manevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ile Manojlovski was the one to do the kick off. Skender Partenijev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Apolo Richie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Sabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Toli had several of the Red Bull Club's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Robert Manevski as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 61st minute, Ile Manojlovski made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Richie. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Apolo Richie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ile Manojlovski went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Benito Handi hit a great ball. When Reynaldo Sabin fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's protests and gave Reynaldo Sabin a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Sabin. In the 78th minute, Red Bull Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antonio Mundo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 78th minute, Gabriel Toli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Apolo Richie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ile Manojlovski in the 83rd minute of the match. Reynaldo Sabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Lirim Atanasovski threw the ball into play from the sideline. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Dante Quintan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ile Manojlovski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Bull Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ile Manojlovski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Richie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Red Bull Club's goalkeeper Robert Manevski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Sabin. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Benito Handi got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
