When Franco Donatelli fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sao Brasola's protests and gave Franco Donatelli a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Tarcu had several of the Sao Brasola's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Elia Tuzzolino as he didn't even see the shot coming. Davide Di Nunzio hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Măgureanu. Bernardo Valcareggi's late challenge caught a Champions Iasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Valcareggi helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Sao Brasola got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Valcareggi. Bernardo Valcareggi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When George Vâlcu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Champions Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Vâlcu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Tarcu in the 35th minute of play forced Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Elia Tuzzolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Vâlcu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. George Vâlcu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Elia Tuzzolino made a huge save. After having played for 44 minutes, Corrado Colucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sao Brasola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corrado Colucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute, Corrado Colucci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergiu Angheluță was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Donatelli to make the kick off. During the 59th minute of the match Franco Donatelli completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Franco Donatelli a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Franco Donatelli hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute George Vâlcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Tuzzolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when Sao Brasola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Colucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Tarcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Tuzzolino having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elia Tuzzolino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elia Tuzzolino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cazimir Zăraşcu went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute Cazimir Zăraşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Tuzzolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Champions Iasi's zone, Alessio Catini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergiu Angheluță came out of the goal and Alessio Catini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elia Tuzzolino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Zăraşcu in the 81st minute of play. Sao Brasola's Elia Tuzzolino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Vâlcu in the 82nd minute of play. Alessio Catini hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Davide Di Nunzio hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Elia Tuzzolino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Perșa in the 90th minute of the match. Cazimir Zăraşcu's late challenge caught a Sao Brasola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cazimir Zăraşcu helped the player get up and apologised. Cazimir Zăraşcu hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Champions Iasi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
