Alvinegro Carioca's Cássio Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yevgen Romanenko in the 13th minute of play. Jefferson Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Alvinegro Carioca booed when Philadelphia Union FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Ferraz's late challenge caught a Philadelphia Union FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermínio Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Alvinegro Carioca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Saron to strike the kick off in the second half. Myroslav Zanevskyi in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cássio Aguiar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cássio Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Myroslav Zanevskyi in the 61st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Augusto Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Miltos Mouratidis rounded Alvinegro Carioca's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-3. Paulo Renato Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
