Överås BK's Marcus Nordin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Överås BK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Överås BK booed when Philadelphia Union FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 0-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Nicklas Pilberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peder Kilstedt was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Överås BK got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Johnsson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Myroslav Zanevskyi in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Nordin saved Överås BK from getting behind. 65 minutes into the game, Myroslav Zanevskyi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcus Nordin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Philadelphia Union FC made a substitution. Paulo Renato Mandrak replaced Myroslav Zanevskyi. Leonardo Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Överås BK's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Mandrak came free, but Marcus Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Paulo Renato Mandrak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Överås BK's Marcus Nordin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Överås BK's Marcus Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Mandrak in the 85th minute of play.
