WINNING ELEVEN's Adan Francho got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Hechter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rômulo Camargo. Barra EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Hechter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Abancens in the 20th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, WINNING ELEVEN's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Vander came free, but Feliberto Ortle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Feliberto Ortle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, WINNING ELEVEN's Santos Garikoitz got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Feliberto Ortle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luiz Souto. Roger Cearense hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Abelardo Raitin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rômulo Camargo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Luiz Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Dito Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Feliberto Ortle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's Ricardo Santos got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Barra EC's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Francho came free, but Rômulo Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Luiz Souto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Vander in the 52nd minute of the match. WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute, Pedro Luiz Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Barra EC booed when WINNING ELEVEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Ortle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Manuel Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Barra EC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Souto in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliberto Ortle saved WINNING ELEVEN from getting behind. Rômulo Camargo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adan Francho in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Barra EC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. André Luís de Amaral hit a great ball. Rômulo Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adan Francho went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in WINNING ELEVEN's zone, Pedro Luiz Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Ortle came out of the goal and Pedro Luiz Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 minutes of play, WINNING ELEVEN's Adan Francho made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rômulo Camargo was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Nereo Sanchez took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Rômulo Camargo to make any attempt to save it.
