After 46 played minutes, XMAS's Anfilogino Di Nino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diamantino de Queiroz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in XMAS reached it. In the 48th minute, Alberigo Gianfrancesco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The XMAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dudu Mesquita in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Polidori saved XMAS from getting behind. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by XMAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hélio Terra was slow to take the kick. During this time Airborne FC's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the XMAS defense, Hélio Terra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Polidori. The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Polidori should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betão Ramalho during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Airborne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, XMAS's Alessandro Vettori broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. With a little luck, Airborne FC's Diamantino de Queiroz got control of the ball when Ernesto Minichiello tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded XMAS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Airborne FC.
