The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute, Kacper Karbowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cyprian Tyszka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Mattias Pihlgren made a huge save. Oldham Athletic's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Cyprian Tyszka scored to the left of an out of position Mattias Pihlgren, making the score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian Pettersson in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filip Swoboda saved Onyx from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Arman Gregersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filip Swoboda was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Onyx's Filip Swoboda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Pettersson in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Oldham Athletic's zone, Cyprian Tyszka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Pihlgren came out of the goal and Cyprian Tyszka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th match minute, Oldham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Svanström to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Kacper Karbowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Onyx's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oldham Athletic the free kick. Filip Swoboda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Petersson in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
Mattias Pihlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Tyszka, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Mattias Pihlgren had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Tytus Wojton's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Tytus Wojton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mattias Pihlgren. Oldham Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tytus Wojton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Mattias Pihlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kacper Karbowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mattias Pihlgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kacper Karbowski's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Kazimierz Swoboda kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Mattias Pihlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyprian Tyszka in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Lukasz Marczyniec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, Onyx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tytus Wojton to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Onyx getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Kacper Karbowski hit a great ball. Filip Swoboda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Bäcklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Onyx's goalkeeper Filip Swoboda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arman Gregersson. In the 93rd minute Arman Gregersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Swoboda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arman Gregersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Swoboda having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
