With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Quintanilha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Benas Dokšas came free, but Jacinto Quintanilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio Amaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Marius Naujokas made a huge save. Kęstutis Jakubauskas scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Quintanilha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benas Dokšas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Quintanilha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kęstutis Jakubauskas went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Kęstutis Jakubauskas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacinto Quintanilha. Sporting Clube de Gaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kęstutis Jakubauskas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Benas Dokšas took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Quintanilha. Jacinto Quintanilha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Jacinto Quintanilha was a little too slow when Benas Dokšas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Artūras Batavičius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lithuanian amber's supporters rose to their feet, but Artūras Batavičius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Quintanilha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Quintanilha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kęstutis Jakubauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octávio Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Quintanilha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benas Dokšas in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Lithuanian amber left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Clube de Gaya.
