Fabrício Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alfredo Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th of the match, Fabrício Arce tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alfredo Paes got in the way and made a wonderful save. One of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of IGUIPORÃ FC:s goal. IGUIPORÃ FC's Álvaro Dionísio suffered a sore thigh after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Zeca Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeca Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Cardoso. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabrício Arce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Ortiz in the 60th minute of play forced Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
