Edgardo Botello made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Fredrik Bennet sent off a good shot on target. Edgardo Botello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Bennet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes, Fredrik Bennet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samurai and the Deportivo Pucho players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Samurai getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Fredrik Bennet hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Tomás Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Klemensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samurai's Roger Klemensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Checa in the 25th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Deportivo Pucho's Zeledon Cesario made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Klemensson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Henry Åkerström hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to Deportivo Pucho getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Anier Pirmin hit a great ball. Edgardo Botello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Rolandsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of Deportivo Pucho booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Kjellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Pirmin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Klemensson. Samurai's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Michael Haglund hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Edgardo Botello stood somewhat misplaced when Fredrik Bennet came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 47 minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Checa was the one to do the kick off. Edgardo Botello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Bennet in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Samurai's Henry Åkerström got a free kick in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredrik Bennet in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Botello saved Deportivo Pucho from getting behind. Fredrik Bennet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Edgardo Botello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Samurai's Henry Kjellkvist got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Zeledon Cesario tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roger Klemensson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edgardo Botello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Åkerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Edgardo Botello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Bennet in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Fredrik Bennet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fredrik Bennet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fredrik Bennet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Edgardo Botello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Fredrik Bennet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samurai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Bennet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Samurai getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Elof Bergfelt hit a great ball. The Deportivo Pucho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Pucho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
