Hílton Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! 8 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Abaunza came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dorival Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botinho FC's protests and gave Dorival Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. Regresado made a substitution. Celestino Fresco replaced Zacarias Escobar. Dorival Ortiz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Vicente Abaunza fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Regresado's protests and gave Vicente Abaunza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes, Botinho FC's Benjamin Rossi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonides Quintyn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Botinho FC reached it. Leonides Quintyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Penha in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Botinho FC got a corner. Regresado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benjamin Rossi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Botinho FC's corner Benjamin Rossi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonides Quintyn quite easily take care of the ball. Bernardinho Penha scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonides Quintyn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Regresado's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Penha came free, but Leonides Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Abaunza in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Penha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Quintyn was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Vicente Abaunza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Magalhães having to interfere. Hílton Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Abaunza, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Abaunza was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Abaunza in the 62nd minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Abaunza in the 65th minute of play. Bernardinho Penha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Segundo Bidun struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Hílton Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regresado. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Fresco in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Regresado's Enzo Astrada got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Bernardinho Penha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Abaunza in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Magalhães saved Botinho FC from getting behind. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botinho FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Segundo Bidun was slow to take the kick. During this time Regresado's players had a chance to rest. Regresado's Segundo Bidun was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hílton Magalhães in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Abaunza in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. In the 92ndth minute of the game Bernardinho Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Regresado's Leonides Quintyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Abaunza in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Botinho FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
