Zé Roberto Velasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Faustão Gaspar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elenko Hrulev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute of the match, Marcel Lira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Faustão Gaspar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Júbilo Iwata fully deserved thier win.
