The referee ignored Júbilo Iwata's protests and gave Zé Roberto Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. If Axl Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The supporters of Howling Dawn U18 booed when Júbilo Iwata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elenko Hrulev didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cyprian Henryk to make the kick off. Marcel Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Santos Hori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Henryk, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Marcel Lira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Júbilo Iwata and the Howling Dawn U18 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giovanni Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltasar Walme went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Howling Dawn U18 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Júbilo Iwata had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
