Vitório Lago charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitório Lago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. REAL RIO CRVG's Natã Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Souza made a kick off. Percival Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Lago in the 53rd minute of the match. When Nildo Donato fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguinhas's protests and gave Nildo Donato a yellow card for diving instead. Nildo Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. José Pedro Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Aguinhas booed when REAL RIO CRVG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vitório Lago came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Aguinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório Lago couldn't finish the play. The Aguinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
