An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Souza in the 5th minute of play forced Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Eulalio Llorian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute REAL RIO CRVG were awarded a corner. Durvalino Sarmento went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 8th minute, Pedrão Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Garcia's late challenge caught a REAL RIO CRVG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Vae Victis!! got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Garcia. Eulalio Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Eulalio Llorian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Vae Victis!! defense, Gláuber Cardozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eulalio Llorian. The Vae Victis!! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eulalio Llorian should have stopped the shot. In the 16th match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Faria to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Cardozo came free, but Eulalio Llorian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eulalio Llorian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Cardozo in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Natã Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Llorian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Souza in the 24th minute of play. When Marcinho Velloso fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored REAL RIO CRVG's protests and gave Marcinho Velloso a yellow card for diving instead. Marcinho Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Vae Victis!!'s Wesley Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vae Victis!!'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Durvalino Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time REAL RIO CRVG's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Durvalino Sarmento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian did a great save. Eulalio Llorian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Nogueira in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Maria Teixeira to strike the kick off in the second half. REAL RIO CRVG's Percival Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Teixeira in the 51st minute of play. When Gláuber Cardozo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 54 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eulalio Llorian was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Filipe Motta hit a great ball. Vae Victis!! made a substitution. Renan Sabóia replaced Juninho Lopes. After 66 played minutes REAL RIO CRVG got a freekick which was hit by Natã Nogueira. Vae Victis!!'s Greg Moore was substituted for Filipe Motta. Vae Victis!!'s Falcão Garcia was substituted for José Maria Teixeira. REAL RIO CRVG's Percival Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Moore in the 68th minute of play. Ricardo Cosme was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in REAL RIO CRVG's zone, Wesley Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Prestes came out of the goal and Wesley Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, REAL RIO CRVG's Durvalino Sarmento got a free kick in the 76th minute. REAL RIO CRVG's Percival Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Garcia in the 78th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Renan Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Percival Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Marcos Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vae Victis!! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 88 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Eulalio Llorian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Fernandes. REAL RIO CRVG's Durvalino Sarmento was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eulalio Llorian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. REAL RIO CRVG's Percival Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Garcia in the 91st minute of play. Percival Prestes came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vae Victis!!'s Renan Sabóia. But to his dismay, Renan Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. REAL RIO CRVG's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
