Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After 21 minutes, Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Joinville - FSCMZ and the Albirex Niigata FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Albirex Niigata FC's zone, Freddy Dove stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dale Lim came out of the goal and Freddy Dove tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Dove in the 55th minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Dale Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
