The Barbie Doll United U23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederico de Salles should have stopped the shot. Monitor Huáscar's Gilabert Ruega got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luli Lulev in the 17th minute of play forced Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Frederico de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monitor Huáscar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barbie Doll United U23 the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vasco Celerain made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Barbie Doll United U23's Waldemar de Godoi. 60 minutes into the match, Alan Gaúcho notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Monitor Huáscar's Ferman Basabe. Ferman Basabe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ferman Basabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião França, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Silvério Netto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barbie Doll United U23 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Benigno Torne struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Frederico de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monitor Huáscar. 90 minutes into the match, Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Frederico de Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benigno Torne. With a little luck, Barbie Doll United U23's Frederico de Salles got control of the ball when Gilabert Ruega tried to sneak it across the goal line.
