Federico Erramun started the match with the kick off. Virgilio Txilar made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Acácio Baiano sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute Cristo Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Baiano got free with Virgilio Txilar in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dário Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Erramun, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dário Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Bortzaioriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute of the match, Patrick Gomes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Virgilio Txilar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Irreal Madrid's Acácio Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Irreal Madrid's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugênio Goiano in the 39th minute. The corner ended in Eugênio Goiano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar did a great save. Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gastres FC from getting a goal against them. Virgilio Txilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Prestes in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Eugênio Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Everardo Pello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gastres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Pello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Gustavo Leão to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Dário Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Erramun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Baiano in the 56th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Leocadio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dário Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Baiano came free, but Virgilio Txilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Leocadio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Dário Lira made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Federico Erramun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Lira was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Cristo Leocadio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joélson Valladares hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Virgilio Txilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With an all-out effort, Gastres FC's Dário Lira threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Segundo Bortzaioriz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cristo Leocadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gastres FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
