After 3 minutes, Gerard Kok mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zijdewind SC and the Pretoria Gostyń players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Zijdewind SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Kok to maneuver through the defense. Zijdewind SC's Henry Lembeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wojciech Komanski in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Wojciech Komanski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Henry Lembeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ferdi Dekens sped through Pretoria Gostyń's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomasz Dziedelonis. After a rather tough play, Zijdewind SC's Luuk Meppelink got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Ernest van der Laan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomasz Dziedelonis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Tomasz Dziedelonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudi den Hartog in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Przemyslaw Piszczor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henk Zaagman hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Pretoria Gostyń were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Zijdewind SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kacper Pryputnicki took the corner. Wojciech Komanski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Lembeck having to interfere. Wojciech Komanski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Henry Lembeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Wojciech Komanski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdi Dekens got free with Tomasz Dziedelonis in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wojciech Komanski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Lembeck having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Zijdewind SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilco Theuws to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wojciech Komanski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Michal Malewicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Lembeck came out of the goal and Michal Malewicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Pretoria Gostyń's Michal Malewicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henry Lembeck. That made the score 2-2 after 57 minutes of play. Henry Lembeck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michal Malewicki in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Ernest van der Laan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasz Dziedelonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomasz Dziedelonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdi Dekens in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Zijdewind SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Kok to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Kacper Pryputnicki from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Henry Lembeck's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Pretoria Gostyń booed when Zijdewind SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilco Theuws didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudi den Hartog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tomasz Dziedelonis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilco Theuws hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Michal Malewicki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Lembeck. Zijdewind SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michal Malewicki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Pretoria Gostyń's Wojciech Komanski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henry Lembeck. That made the score 2-4 after 84 minutes of play. 88 minutes into the match, Pretoria Gostyń's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdi Dekens came free, but Tomasz Dziedelonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
