The Exército Português fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Exército Português's Kevin Lages looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Exército Português from getting a goal against them. With 48 minutes on the clock, Éder Prates commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 48 minutes into the game, one of Exército Português:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Necati Daman made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necati Daman in the 56th minute of play forced Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Necati Daman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Batu Yılma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Gaciu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Exército Português was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Pires to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Savaş Ali's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurențiu Gaciu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's Tarık Kirtekin got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close.
