The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Mergildo got free with Walter Fransson in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alberto Dominic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcelino Bastian fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BAIRES's protests and gave Marcelino Bastian a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 minutes, Marcos Domeka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAIRES and the Fire Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Domeka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Fransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Bastian in the 28th minute. Alberto Dominic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Fransson having to interfere. Leo Gaskon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Aberle in the 31st minute of the match. Diego Sein hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franco Verdon in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Gaskon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Francis Aberle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Gaskon. BAIRES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francis Aberle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Francis Aberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Dominic came free, but Walter Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Braulio Olo to strike the kick off in the second half. Walter Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Dominic, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Alberto Dominic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes, Thaddäus Striner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fire Devils and the BAIRES players grew even worse after the yellow card. BAIRES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Dominic in the 75th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes BAIRES got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Mitxaut. Loris Hellmüller struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Leo Gaskon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fire Devils. After 79 played minutes BAIRES got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Domeka. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Verdon in the 84th minute of play forced BAIRES's goalkeeper Leo Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Bastian in the 85th minute of play. After 93 minutes, Loris Hellmüller made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. BAIRES's Leo Gaskon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fire Devils's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
