Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Genaro Argina started the match with the kick off. Jimmie Tinglöv was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedicto Romelio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Braulio Pierres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmie Tinglöv narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Benedicto Romelio put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmie Tinglöv. In the 20th minute of the match Isaac Marcones shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimmie Tinglöv showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Malte Martinsson fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgården IF's protests and gave Malte Martinsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Djurgården IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Isaac Marcones sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimmie Tinglöv skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Hägglund during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Djurgården IF getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ian Hägglund hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Genaro Argina rounded Djurgården IF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. With his leg Jimmie Tinglöv managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Velez Sarsfield's Genaro Argina fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Walter Lindkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Rodolfo Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rdth minute of the game Genaro Argina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djurgården IF's Jimmie Tinglöv was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jimmie Tinglöv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Argina in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Djurgården IF's Åke Pilberg got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jimmie Tinglöv stood somewhat misplaced when Braulio Pierres came free in front of goal and shot 7-0 to the left of him in the 48 minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Lindkvist to make the kick off. Jimmie Tinglöv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Uriel Raymon made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Malte Martinsson sent off a good shot on target. Walter Lindkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Raymon having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedicto Romelio in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmie Tinglöv saved Djurgården IF from getting behind. A collision led to Djurgården IF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ian Hägglund hit a great ball. In the 87th minute Malte Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmie Tinglöv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Argina in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Djurgården IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Lindkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes, Velez Sarsfield's Isaac Marcones shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jimmie Tinglöv came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Velez Sarsfield reached it. Jimmie Tinglöv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Romelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Djurgården IF's Jimmie Tinglöv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Argina in the 97th minute of play. A collision led to Djurgården IF getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Walter Lindkvist hit a great ball. Velez Sarsfield walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
