Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) 2 minutes into the game, Ariel Quirze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manfredi AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catugi FC the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, Manfredi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Quirze to maneuver through the defense. Elmas Duro came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Dudu Borges. But to his dismay, Dudu Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elmas Duro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Elmas Duro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando de Alcântara in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 19th minute of play forced Manfredi AFC's goalkeeper Elmas Duro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Pelayo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Dudu Borges scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elmas Duro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nando de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Manfredi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Quirze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elmas Duro was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Dalmau in the 42nd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Folke Österlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Catugi FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Elmas Duro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando de Alcântara in the 51st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Catugi FC's Dudu Borges slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elmas Duro. That made the score 0-6 after 52 minutes of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Dudu Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manfredi AFC's Elmas Duro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 58 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andres Gabon. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Dudu Borges sped through Manfredi AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elmas Duro. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Nando de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmas Duro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernani Travassos's late challenge caught a Manfredi AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernani Travassos helped the player get up and apologised. Nereo Ralondo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Dalmau came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredi AFC's Elmas Duro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Borges in the 72nd minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's Tiaguinho Fernandez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando de Alcântara in the 80th minute of play forced Manfredi AFC's goalkeeper Elmas Duro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Elmas Duro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando de Alcântara in the 84th minute. Hernani Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Manfredi AFC's Elmas Duro got control of the ball when Nando de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Manfredi AFC's zone, Dudu Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmas Duro came out of the goal and Dudu Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Refugio.
