An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Erramun in the 42nd minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Aldas Saulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geležinis Vilkas's Aldas Saulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Erramun in the 44th minute of play. Juozas Zelmikas hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Liberland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Flor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Girkantas Laucius during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Girkantas Laucius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liberland's Carmelo Silbestre came free and shot a quick shot against goal 56 minutes in the game, fortunately Aldas Saulis had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After 57 minutes of play Geležinis Vilkas's Girkantas Laucius was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Deimantas Valys kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Saulius Barsys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Jogaila Jameikis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Florinio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Jančys. A collision led to Geležinis Vilkas getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dinaras Kalasauskas hit a great ball. Carmelo Silbestre's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aldas Saulis firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Pastor Rutenio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Aldas Saulis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Geležinis Vilkas's Saulius Barsys got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Pastor Rutenio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldas Saulis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Saulius Barsys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cayetano Florinio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rafael Erramun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Liberland eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
