The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Cuervo Loco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Cabral came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Oliverio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Quadros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. When Cuervo Loco FC's Cipriano Arixo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Ilazki to strike the kick off in the second half. Cuervo Loco FC's Emilio Ilazki got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betinho Dantas during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Haroldo Recife hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Valdemar Quadros acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Conrado Oliverio. In the 73rd minute, Generoso Ofelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cipriano Arixo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Valdemar Quadros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jimeno Feo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, Cipriano Arixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuervo Loco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cuervo Loco FC's Cipriano Arixo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Valdemar Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Arixo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-:s Valdemar Quadros showed great skill when he stopped Conrado Oliverio:s penalty. Conrado Oliverio's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Oliverio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 99th minute, Conrado Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Recife in the 100th minute of play. The Cuervo Loco FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
