When Pang Ran Feng fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ÓKINJÔ FC's protests and gave Pang Ran Feng a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Sport Club's Joel Umea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Leon Sport Club from getting a goal against them. ÓKINJÔ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tarmo Koskenkorva in the 8th minute. ÓKINJÔ FC's Eduardo Barbosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joel Umea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Leon Sport Club's zone, Silvestre Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Umea came out of the goal and Silvestre Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Silvestre Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Umea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Umea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Quintyn in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Anier Quintyn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Umea. The goal made the score 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Caco Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teófilo Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caco Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Ian Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beto Massa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Joel Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Quintyn in the 55th minute of play. After taking down the ball on ÓKINJÔ FC's corner Tarmo Koskenkorva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joel Umea quite easily take care of the ball. Leon Sport Club's Joel Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Quintyn in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when ÓKINJÔ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Queirós got free with Teófilo Barbosa in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes in the game, Caco Guerra fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Teófilo Barbosa having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Anier Quintyn made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Leon Sport Club's Joel Umea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Garcia came free, but Joel Umea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ÓKINJÔ FC's Teófilo Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save ÓKINJÔ FC from getting a goal against them. Eliézer Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Tarmo Koskenkorva, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 3-0 became the score in the 89th minute when Anier Quintyn elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anier Quintyn in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Umea saved Leon Sport Club from getting behind.
