In the 6th minute, Cido Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Kelmond S.C. booed when Inter de Melão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Inter de Melão's Allan de Almeida got control of the ball when Gert Hulzebos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferry Schattenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Farias in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Amorim in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferry Schattenberg saved Kelmond S.C. from getting behind. Ferry Schattenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Amorim in the 36th minute of play forced Kelmond S.C.'s goalkeeper Ferry Schattenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ernesto Farias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Melão's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Farias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferry Schattenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inter de Melão's Ciro Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ciro Amorim made the kick off in the second half. If Henry Kostermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Ciro Amorim put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ferry Schattenberg. With his leg Ferry Schattenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Inter de Melão's Ciro Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jardel Cunha hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Inter de Melão's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Kostermans came free, but Allan de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Ciro Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferry Schattenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Amorim in the 71st minute of the match. Ernesto Farias kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ferry Schattenberg was a little too slow when Ciro Amorim got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-2. Maurinho Vergílio came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ferry Schattenberg could save by the left post. Ferry Schattenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Amorim in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Amorim in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferry Schattenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Inter de Melão's Jeremias Abraão got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Allan de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Hulzebos in the 93rd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Inter de Melão got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Amorim. Inter de Melão's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
