The Villa Mitre players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MALAIA FDFDF were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson da Fonseca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Roman Montez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 79th minute Dito Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Montez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emerson da Fonseca went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The supporters of MALAIA FDFDF booed when Villa Mitre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Gabirel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villa Mitre's Roman Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Mitre from getting a goal against them. Clemente Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The MALAIA FDFDF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MALAIA FDFDF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
