The referee ignored Gracie Barra's protests and gave Flavinho Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. Aílton Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Narciso Abreu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Falcão Azevedo got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Thiti Machado made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Abreu. With an all-out effort, Gracie Barra's Narciso Abreu threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aílton Mota, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
