Jari Welling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Good having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Ernst Cakir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jyrki Rajamäki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Herbert Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Welling, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Julien Marxer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jyrki Rajamäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jari Welling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Herbert Good tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Julien Marxer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jyrki Rajamäki was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute of the match ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ got a corner. Palloketut's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eddy Moser ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eddy Moser made a great header on ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's corner, it was just that Palloketut's Jyrki Rajamäki managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teemu Valkealahti during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teemu Valkealahti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Moser struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jyrki Rajamäki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ. 21 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Palloketut's Urmas Vuorinen fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernst Cakir in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jyrki Rajamäki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urmas Vuorinen in the 30th minute of play forced ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's goalkeeper Herbert Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernst Cakir in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jyrki Rajamäki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jyrki Rajamäki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Cakir in the 36th minute of play. Jyrki Rajamäki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julien Marxer's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Jyrki Rajamäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Cakir in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernd Heid in the 40th minute of play forced Palloketut's goalkeeper Jyrki Rajamäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ernst Cakir made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jari Welling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palloketut's supporters rose to their feet, but Jari Welling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Good breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Ernst Cakir made a precise shot to the right of Jyrki Rajamäki. Palloketut's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Ernst Cakir got a free kick in the 58th minute. Bernd Heid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mike Oehri kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Urmas Vuorinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute Jari Welling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernst Cakir succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 70th playminute. 74 minutes into the match, Palloketut's Jari Welling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Good narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herbert Good showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veijo Lähtelä in the 75th minute of the match. After 79 minutes, Bernd Heid mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ and the Palloketut players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Bernd Heid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jari Welling in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Good saved ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ from getting behind. Jari Welling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herbert Good read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Antti Furuholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jari Welling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
