The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Pricop got free with Hilario Ubendu in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Basualdo's late challenge caught a ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Basualdo helped the player get up and apologised. Armando Basualdo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Hilario Ubendu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gigi Stanciu's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Gigi Stanciu had several of the Gimnasia y tiro's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Hilario Ubendu as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 17th minute, Ernest Feteanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hilario Ubendu. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ booed when Gimnasia y tiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilario Ubendu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Pricop in the 23rd minute. Hilario Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Stanciu in the 26th minute of the match. Miguel Arixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Horia Braniște fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s protests and gave Horia Braniște a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gimnasia y tiro booed when ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Braniște didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Mingo struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Bogdan Volosin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia y tiro. Hilario Ubendu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Stanciu in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Gigi Stanciu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hilario Ubendu, 4-0. Ernest Feteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gimnasia y tiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Ernest Feteanu scored to the left of an out of position Hilario Ubendu, making the score, 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Arixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Pricop kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Hilario Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Braniște in the 55th minute of the match. When ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s Gigi Stanciu in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gimnasia y tiro's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gigi Stanciu in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Ubendu saved Gimnasia y tiro from getting behind. The supporters of ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ booed when Gimnasia y tiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilario Ubendu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Stanciu in the 68th minute of play. Bogdan Volosin made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Bernardo Mingo sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Armando Basualdo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hilario Ubendu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Pricop in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gigi Stanciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilario Ubendu was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Bernardo Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Volosin having to interfere. Bogdan Volosin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Arixo in the 84th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigi Stanciu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Ubendu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hilario Ubendu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gigi Stanciu's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Gigi Stanciu sped through Gimnasia y tiro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hilario Ubendu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gigi Stanciu in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Ubendu saved Gimnasia y tiro from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gimnasia y tiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
