In the 5th minute, Grêmio Papão de WC's Horácio Prestes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Horácio Prestes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grêmio Papão de WC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Horácio Prestes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Horácio Prestes hit a great ball. If Alberto Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Reis took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santiago Demario. Santiago Demario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 16th minute Sebastian Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Weidt came free, but Santiago Demario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Timoteo Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Grêmio Papão de WC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grêmio Papão de WC's Moisés da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Esdras in the 29th minute of play. Moisés da Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Abreu's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Argentinos Juniors's Gavino Roldan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moisés da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Grêmio Papão de WC made a substitution. Dadá Amorim replaced Alberto Reis. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Gavino Roldan got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. Grêmio Papão de WC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Argentinos Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fábio Vinhas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Grêmio Papão de WC's corner Luiz Fábio Vinhas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santiago Demario quite easily take care of the ball. Dadá Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Demario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Argentinos Juniors's Sebastian Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moisés da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Grêmio Papão de WC's attentive Hílton Prata managed to snatch the ball when Roberto Trotta made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Augusto Weidt hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Presebal came free, but Moisés da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Demario came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Papão de WC's Dadá Amorim. But to his dismay, Dadá Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Moisés da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Roldan in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Dráuzio Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Augusto Weidt hit a great ball. Moisés da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes, Naldo Soeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Papão de WC and the Argentinos Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Naldo Soeiro hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Sebastian Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argentinos Juniors's Dalmacio Esdras pulled a muscle in his back after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Dráuzio Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráuzio Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, Grêmio Papão de WC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráuzio Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. The Grêmio Papão de WC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Argentinos Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for Argentinos Juniors.
