In the 3rd minute, Dieguinho Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Arósio in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Börje Wästerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per-Erik Josefsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Gustavo Bueno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to SE Tijolo 6 Furos getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. João Carlos Veiga hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Arósio in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börje Wästerberg saved IzmirFK from getting behind. In the 30th minute Luís Eduardo dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Wästerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Nicolas Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Börje Wästerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 36th match minute, IzmirFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubert Holm to maneuver through the defense. Luís Eduardo dos Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Börje Wästerberg. IzmirFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Börje Wästerberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Eduardo dos Santos went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Börje Wästerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Nicolas Arósio scored 0-4 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Börje Wästerberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

After a rather tough play, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Zico Goiano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Nicolas Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Börje Wästerberg made a huge save. With a little luck, IzmirFK's Börje Wästerberg got control of the ball when Dieguinho Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Nicolas Arósio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 66thth minute of the game Roland Moberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Luís Gustavo Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Nicolas Arósio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Börje Wästerberg. Börje Wästerberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. IzmirFK's Börje Wästerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Arósio in the 75th minute of play. Börje Wästerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Moura in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Arósio in the 82nd minute of play forced IzmirFK's goalkeeper Börje Wästerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Arósio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Börje Wästerberg was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. With a little luck, IzmirFK's Börje Wästerberg got control of the ball when Maurilio Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Börje Wästerberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Arósio in the 97th minute. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
