After 18 minutes, Santio Marco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Viola Gigliati and the Fajteri players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fajteri booed when AFC Viola Gigliati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santio Marco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Stašo Šiler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralondo Barboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Ciriaco Cañaveral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivek Majstorović was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ivek Majstorović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Cañaveral in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Ciriaco Cañaveral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivek Majstorović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julien Anderle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralondo Barboa having to interfere. The supporters of AFC Viola Gigliati booed when Fajteri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Anderle didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Stašo Šiler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciriaco Cañaveral to make the kick off. Julien Anderle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stašo Šiler hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Fajteri's Julien Anderle got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Fajteri got a freekick which was hit by Omar Ajnik. Alaga Burja hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ivek Majstorović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Cicero in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes, Fajteri's Omar Ajnik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ralondo Barboa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fajteri reached it. Julien Anderle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralondo Barboa having to interfere. Fajteri's Ivek Majstorović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Cicero in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Fajteri's Ivek Majstorović got control of the ball when Ciriaco Cañaveral tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Kurt Hamrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Viola Gigliati's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Hamrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julien Anderle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralondo Barboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. AFC Viola Gigliati's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
