The audience was convinced that Evert Andreasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerard Verhaghe was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Piet Huijghens hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes real dixmuda got a freekick which was hit by Didier Lingier. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piet Huijghens got free with Patrik Nordström in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xander-Paul Pellegrims could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Patrik Nordström made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evert Andreasson in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerard Verhaghe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by real dixmuda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sven-Oskar Broberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Black Mamba's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Göran Bocklund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but real dixmuda's Gerard Verhaghe did a great save. 46 minutes into the match, Evert Andreasson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of real dixmuda's Gerard Verhaghe. Gerard Verhaghe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evert Andreasson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, real dixmuda's goalkeeper Gerard Verhaghe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Harman. Gerard Verhaghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Matsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Göran Bocklund came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Black Mamba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Bocklund couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Black Mamba's Jonas Ros got a free kick in the 56th minute. Black Mamba's Patrik Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piet Huijghens in the 58th minute of play. Patrik Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rein De Schepper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Vilhelm Myr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Verhaghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Nordström came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by real dixmuda's Piet Huijghens. But to his dismay, Piet Huijghens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 71 minutes into the match, real dixmuda's goalkeeper Gerard Verhaghe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evert Andreasson. Evert Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gerard Verhaghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When real dixmuda's Piet Huijghens in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Black Mamba's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Matsson in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Sven-Oskar Broberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gerard Verhaghe. real dixmuda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patrik Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piet Huijghens in the 85th minute of play. Black Mamba's Patrik Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorie Smet in the 87th minute of play. Patrik Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berten Sommers, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Piet Huijghens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrik Nordström. Black Mamba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Piet Huijghens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
