Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alemdar Baykut took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Kaplan got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Eriz. In the 5th minute, Alvise Africano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafin Froylan's late challenge caught a Burnley FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafin Froylan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Kaplan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Froylan to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Quinito kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Soin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes Kaplan got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Cordera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Cordario in the 16th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Froylan came free, but Dave Falcioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 29 minutes on the clock, Narciso Eriz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 29th minute, one of Kaplan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kaplan. Dave Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Soin in the 37th minute of play. Dave Falcioni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Agustin Quinito charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Quinito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Kaplan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Quinito to maneuver through the defense. When Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Burnley FC's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Ledesma made a kick off. Lucio Soin scored 0-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave Falcioni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Ledesma in the 55th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Abelardo Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Burnley FC booed when Kaplan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Soin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Ledesma came free, but Dave Falcioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alemdar Baykut in the 79th minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper René Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Alemdar Baykut notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Kaplan's René Higuita. René Higuita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 89 minutes of play, Burnley FC's Alemdar Baykut made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. René Higuita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dave Falcioni made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Lucio Soin sent off a good shot on target. Burnley FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Kaplan had controlled the match.
